Abstract

GFZ acts as a global analysis center of the International GNSS Service (IGS) and provides operationally ultra-rapid (last 24h), rapid (last day), and final (last week) solutions and contributes to the reprocessing activities of the IGS. The GFZ repro3 product solution series covers data from 1994 to 2020 and is published in daily and weekly files. The following satellite systems are contained: GPS (from 1994), GLONASS (from 2012), and Galileo (from 2014).

Methods

Based on a network of around 300 GNSS stations of the tracking network of the International GNSS Service, the GFZ analysis center generated a fully consistent solution series using the latest development version of the EPOS.P8 Software. The processing is described in detail in our repro3 version of the Analysis Center Notes (ftp://isdcftp.gfz-potsdam.de/gnss/products/repro3/gfz_repro3.acn) and follows the current geodetic conventions (https://www.iers.org/IERS/EN/Publications/TechnicalNotes/tn36.htm) as well as the repro3 standards (http://acc.igs.org/repro3/repro3.html). Results of a test campaign are reported in Männel et al. (2020).

The solution series contains daily and weekly files (<YYYY><DDD> refers to the year and day of year of the first epoch contained in the files):

- satellite orbits (GFZ2R03FIN_<YYYY><DDD>0000_01D_05M_ORB.SP3.gz, data format: sp3: https://files.igs.org/pub/data/format/sp3c.txt),
- clock corrections (GFZ2R03FIN_<YYYY><DDD>0000_01D_30S_CLK.CLK.gz, data format: clk: https://files.igs.org/pub/data/format/rinex_clock302.txt),
- bias corrections (GFZ2R03FIN_<YYYY><DDD>0000_01D_01D_OSB.BIA.gz, data format: bia: https://files.igs.org/pub/data/format/sinex_bias_100.pdf),
- troposphere delays and gradients (GFZ2R03FIN_<YYYY><DDD>0000_01D_02H_TRO.TRO.gz, data format: tro: https://files.igs.org/pub/data/format/sinex_tro_v2.00.pdf),
- spacecraft attitude (GFZ2R03FIN_<YYYY><DDD>0000_01D_01D_ORB.OBX.gz, data format: orb: http://acc.igs.org/misc/ORBEX009.pdf),
- station coordinates (GFZ2R03FIN_<YYYY><DDD>0000_01D_01D_SOL.SNX.gz,data format: snx: https://www.iers.org/IERS/EN/Organization/AnalysisCoordinator/SinexFormat/sinex.html),
- Earth rotation parameters (GFZ2R03FIN_<YYYY><DDD>0000_07D_07D_ERP.ERP.g, data format: erp https://lists.igs.org/pipermail/igsmail/1998/003315.html) are provided weekly,
- processing summary (GFZ2R03FIN _<YYYY><DDD>0000_07D_07D_DSC.SUM.gz) containing the detailed processing results is provided on a weekly basis

The file naming follows the IGS Long Product Filename (http://acc.igs.org/repro3/Long_Product_Filenames_v1.0.pdf). All files are .gz compressed.
