Description
From its Adolf-Schmidt-Observatory for Geomagnetism in Niemegk , GFZ operates a number geomagnetic observatories and observatory cooperation worldwide (12 are current members of INTERMAGNET). Further observatories are operated or supported through national and international cooperation. Obervatories operated by GFZ are the (1) Adolf Schmidt Observatory for Geomagnetism (NGK); the Geomagnetic Observatory Wingst (WNG); Adolf Schmidt Observatory for Geomagnetism (NGK); the Geomagnetic Observatory St. Helena (SHE*), the Geomagnetic Observatory Santa Maria (SMA*), and the Geomagnetic Observatory Tristan da Cunha (TDC).
